John Julian Classical Pinch Pot

The Pinch Pots are partially glazed, giving a glossy shine inside and a textured finish on the outsides. They make perfect salt and pepper dishes as well as elegant dishes for a delicate pudding or sorbet.

Handcrafted in Wiltshire, just down the road from Thyme, John Julian’s porcelain pieces are not only available to take home from our shop but also used in our Ox Barn restaurant.

Julian’s distinctive design style is utilitarian with a classical influence resulting in a pared-back aesthetic, neutral palette and finely judged simplicity.

Made either by hand on a jolley machine or hand thrown on a potter’s wheel and fired at an exceptionally high heat, all John Julian pieces are durable and robust.
